A crotch is the joining point of two sticks, or legs.
They are both nouns.

Apart from the other 'correct' answers given (above), the other difference between the two is that of the inability of those who have poor diction and A) are unable to articulate, and B) as far as they are concerned, it's 'the same difference' anyway.
