Bullet, he was getting real old and I was letting him sleep with me and one night I called him and called him and he never came so I just went to bed, and one of my other dogs had attacked him and he was alive but all chewed up. I wish I just would of gone out there to check on him... I feel like it was my fault for not going out there. Now I am sad.

After losing both my dearest American Eskimos, I'm not having any pets for years to come.
Especially the mom who passed first, while racing home after receiving the phone call from my wife telling me that she's in difficulties and going, a smell permeates into my car a few miles from home, instinctively I knew it was my girl.
When I reached home, I rushed in and ask my wife where is she, and when I neared her body it was exactly the weird smell of her that permeated
sorry i can't go on

I have a picture of my first dog that got loose somewhere in Mexico city, and I always talk to him as a friend and I miss him that much, his name was Piolin which means that little canary from the cartoons that is always harassed by the cat.

not from my childhood as such - never had pets growing up - but about 5years ago we had our first dog - WUTANG - strange name for a female dog, but she was great fun and and excellent guard dog..

i am so convinced our neighbour or a local thief poisoned her.. i remember i cried at work when my bro phoned to tell me she had passed away...

its a pity she left behind a generation of stoopid children who then gave birth to even sillier kids.. ah yah.. she must be cursing in her grave right now...

Yes,a German Shepherd named Tawney. When I was11 years old,she got hit on the road. Her back was shattered, and we had to have her put to sleep.I'm 39 now,and it still brings tears to my eyes. She was a very loving, protective, loyal pet,and I still miss her very much, and think of her often. Thank you for the opportunity you have given me through this question to give mention of my beloved Tawney.

Yes we had a Samoyed named Snowy, he could not survive in the hot weather where we lived so we had to sell him to someone who lived in Maine. He was my favorite pet that we had.
