Just got a new Goat and I am about to get some exhaust work. Just a cat back for now but i will go headers and all soon. Just wondering what other people got and how it sounds.

I don't where you are located but if you get lots of snow and the highway departments salt the roads to keep them de-iced you definitely need to look into quality stainless steel headers to keep the rust down on them. I would strongly suggest for your headers a company like Kooks or Stainless Works both companies make great fitting and performing headers. If stainless headers are out of your budget or you don't live in an area that snows ceramic coated headers are perfect I recommend Pacesetters. Now for your cat-back system there are tons out there as you know but I personally would only go with Bassani or Magnaflow both great sounding and performing exhausts. Flowmasters sound good but are worthless performance wise just do some research.

If your looking for a better sound, check your auto pats store to determine if a Thrush muffler exists for your vehicle. They have a great sound, like the original GTO of the 60's, and are east to install.

I would advise against any modification to the exhaust system on this type of vehicle. GM actually invested many hours of research in the design of this system to get the correct tone and pitch from the 350 V8 engine. If you modify it, it may loose some of its original appeal.

i have never heard after market exhaust on a new GTO, which IMO isnt a goat, but anyways, the two that are my favorite on a z28 camaro, is Borla, and flowmaster doesnt sound bad either.
