I went shopping with a friend that told me that she was going to america to visit her dad, yesterday i found out that from one her friend that is very close to her that she told her the same thing and it was a lie, she was going to derby to do some access course. She has had me fooled and i feel very angry and fooled.it makes me question our friendship. From her friend, i found out that she lies a lot.This friend of hers' is very close to her than me and it was by accidental she found out the truth.

I spoke to this same lying friend yesterday and she was still telling me lies about her visit to the states. i didn't tell her that i knew. She still lied about everything i asked her.

a friend should never have lied. a friend should have told the truth. she wasn't really a good friend. maybe she isn't a good friend. find someone else

Confront her, but not in an angry way. Ask her honestly why she felt the need to lie to you and her other friend, and don't try to make her feel low about it. She may have a real problem and chronic lying may just be part of it. If she does have a real problem, encourage her to get help before her little white lies become huge lies that could ruin her life later on.

I'd feel more sorry for her than angry, she is probably trying to impress you and feels the only way she can do that is by making things seem more interesting about her. ther is also the possibility that her 'closer' friend is lying I mean how did this other friend find out if she was lied to as well?

I know it hurts when someone closed to you lies you but there might be any reason behind her lies. you need to have a serious conversation with your friend. don't get angry, try to find out the real things and instead of geting angry face it. you can make a friend and try to keep that friend but it is not up to you that, that person gives same to you. there are lot of people in this world, few are good, few are bad, few may be faithful and few may be lier.
