1. One of the most powerful influences of our day and age is TV and Movies. When TVs became a standard in every home, we have total contact with the world. TV programming is controlled by those who wish to shape our precepts. Just as advertising shapes our precepts on fashion and diet, likewise will our precepts about PEOPLE become shaped.

2. Judgements upon the actions of other people are usually based in our own concepts, teachings, and experiences. We can have a "run in" with a particular older person and decide all older people are grouchy. Then every older person we meet, we will expect them to be grouchy and will change how we act and react to them.

we can tell the type of religion by the society and can tell the type of society by the religion. those people who started cultures and societies started banding together because of family then developed into a larger group becoming bands then tribes brought together believing in similar ideas. therefore these tribes expanded into societies. eventually when societies met other societies they exchanged cultures and belief systems. through this exchange each society changed by adapting the best ideas taken from the other. still development took place and is still doing so today as those societies with similar interests band together to protect themselves from societies who differ.

through their own culture and society teachings and belief systems the individual determines what an individual person from a differing society might be like. when people from different cultures and societies meet they must realize and understand the laws rules and mores of the other in order to achieve an accurate understanding of how the other person thinks. therefore creating a positive exchange rather than a negative one.

however there always will be conflict between societies because of physical and spiritual differences. along with one society having something the other society deems necessary for its survival such as water, land, food or other resources.

there are three basic ways to gain control over others in a society through religion, military and politics. as long as those in control are doing the proper maintaining and the society prospers control is maintained then control is consistent. when those in power are unable to perform their duties to the members of the society satisfaction and it begins to weaken for whatever reason another person or group of individuals gain control. this process will continue throughout the existence of the society.

remember however that societies will continue to change as time passes or the society will stagnate and die.
