...so that some are in night and some are in day, at what point will stars become visible, and why not one person further away on the chain?

If you have good enough eyesight, you can see them even during the day, but few people do.

There is no such single point really. There is a region at which you would say "i don't see any stars", and there is a region where you would say "i see stars", and in the regions between them you would say "is that a star?". Your certainty ranges from near 0 to near 100 gradually.

Stars are visible to all because the sun is a star.

The ones who are in the ocean are going to get very wet or maybe eaten by sharks and probably won't even care about the stars

everyone would have sweaty hands......... and who gets the bad luck to stand in the sea... umm no thanks ............ and I'm not sure what your question is but stars will be come visible at night because they are big balls of friary gas and despite most people being full of gas . they don't glow so you wouldn't see them..

another question how would one person in the middle ever know the chain was complete??? oh and whats the middle .. ohh weird

well... so complicated.. i'd think about it. since its a line of people.... i think the people at dawn's position will see the stars clearest.
