I don't think there's a connection between pot and looking old. But yes it will make you look tired. Usually right after you smoke, your eyelids swell up and they droop like you're about to fall asleep. your eyes turn red and you can't concentrate on anything.
Smoking 2 joints a day won't do anything to your outer appearance in the long run, not like ciggarettes. They say pot is more potent than ciggarette smoke, but you don't smoke near the amount of pot smoke that you do cigarette smoke. You might smoke a pack of cigarettes a day, where you can share those 2 joints with someone and only smoke half of really small joints. There's no comparison. I don't know many people who can smoke 2 entire joints a day by themselves unless they are smaller than a beatty.

no and yes. But I more wanted to comment on some of these answers. Whomever suggested drinking beers instead is badly misinformed. Beer kills brain cells, destroys your liver, makes you fat and is addivtive, none of the things that pot is.
Clinical tests proove that your response time and motor skills are effected 75% more by alchohol than pot.
Some people may ask well then if pot is so harmless, why is it illegal and beer is not? Simply put, alcohol has been a staple of American living since the begining, and is more socially acceptable. that and the illagalization of alcohol created a huge jump in crime, and the government was so powerless to stop the obsession people had with drinking that they had no choice but to make it legal again. Pot was mostly ignored until the late 60s through the 70's when teenagers and young people took to smoking pot with a will, and were openly difiant of the laws. After that the government began the war on drugs, and smoking pot has been expensive and most tricky ever since. More people are arrested for smoking pot than any other offense. Its a waste of government money to house these people in prisons for indulging in the use of a drug that no doctor has ever been able to proove fatal in anyway. And as we have learned over recent years, pot actually has healing properties that encourage doctors to perscribe it to patiants.

better than cigs!
i don't think smoking pot makes you look old ,but i don't smoke everyday.smoking pot does make you look tired but it depends on how much you smoke. i think 2 joints a day is not too much. if the government really thought it was a bad thing then they wouldn't have their own weed farms and they wouldn't prescribe it to some people. so blah!

I would imagine you would get the same effects as from smoking cigarettes...mouth wrinkles, loss of tone and elasticity. you could always put some antioxidant creme on your face before you light up!!! The regular pot smokers i know would rather look old than give up their smoke! For the record, i used to love the stuff. was kindof "coerced" into giving it up...Life's better without it, definately. Then again, you didnt ask for advice! Smoke em if you got em!

Being an x pot smoker, I can tell you that it does make you look tired. As for the old part, I don't think so. I'm 37 and I don't have a wrinkle yet. Smoking pot does make you lazy, lethargic and generally stupid though.

Yes. It is just like anything you smoke. The smoke runs up your face and it's the same occurance as when you smoke a ham in a smoker.

I SMOKE WAY MORE THAN TWO JOINTS A DAY AND I DON'T LOOK OLD OR STUPID. WHAT IS WITH EVERYONE HATING ON STONERS? MY EYES GET A LITTLE RED BUT VISINE HELPS WITH THAT. I HAVE BEEN SMOKING FOR 6 YEARS AND I DON'T HAVE ANY WRINKLES OR DARK CIRCLES UNDER MY EYES. MY IMMUNE SYSTEM IS FINE. I SAY KEEP SMOKING, AND HEY CAN YOU PASS THAT JOINT THIS WAY?!

No. Sun, heavy drinking and heredity are more likely to cause you to look old. It can make your eyes droopy, but you just get active after you finish smoking istead of vegging around and you'll be fine.

I know smoking anything ages you. Have you ever seen these people that have smoked pot or otherwise, faces? They are completely wrinkled. Especially around the mouth.
