"Absolute power DOES corrupt absolutely."

Would we be fine with Putin or the Chinese govt attempting to enforce democracy in Europe or South America? Are we okay with Russian missiles in Cuba? Or China attacking Taiwan by saying that it harbours terrorists, and anti-nationalist movements? The US govt has never been okay with other countries doing these.

Sometime, try and think from the perspective of a non-American, and you would understand people outside are not sure whom to fear more - Osama bLaden or Bush. Missiles and bombs could come from either party.

The President of the United States is subject to the same Constitution as you and I. He was elected by a popular vote of the people and the electoral college.

You have no idea of what life is like under a dictator or repressive government. Do you see the Gestapo taking people away, never to be seen again? In Iraqi, warehouses were found filled with rotting bodies, think the dead received due process?
Does the name Pot Pol mean anything to you - it should!

Please review a lot of history so your grasp of dictator and evil are better developed.

No. If you think about it, how much power does a president really have. There are other influences to shape the direction of our foreign and domestic policy. A president is a single person, like a figurehead, where we can place all the blame. If you're upset with the course this country is heading in you should explore some of the other actors who influence the president and congress.

Eccentric perhaps, but not evil. And there is so much given out in government programs and entitlements that he would be considered a benevolent despot, not a dictator.

Do you understand what a dictator is? Are you able to get an education in this country even if you are not a republican? Are you able to live where you want to live, even if you are not a republican? Are you forced to join the republican party to get any social services? Are you told who to vote for or die? Are you forced into military service? Are you killed if you fail? Are you abused and beaten by the presidents children? Please grow up.

No, -there's no indication that he's evil, and being raised in America and holding it's principles to be 'the best', he would succumb to being a dictator.

But absolute power DOES corrupt absolutely.

Perhaps you should check your dictionary for the definition of dictator.

An evil dictator was Sadam Hussein who tortured his citizens, killed anyone who said a bad word about him, and tested chemical weapons on his own people.

Get some perspective.
