Stuff like Pawleys Island, Sinbad (the comedian), etc. I've been rather disappointed in the humorous books in the library lately because of all the trash. Not joke books. I hate those things.

AMAZINGLY JUST LAST NIGHT I CHECKED OUT A CHRISTIAN COMEDIAN'S BOOK. HER NAME IS CHONDRA PIERCE AND IT WOULD BE IN THE NON FICTION CHRISTIAN AREA. I READ JUST THE FIRST CHAPTER AND WAS LAUGHING MY HEAD OFF AS IT WAS HOW SHE GOT STARTED.

ALSO I HAVE HEARD THAT BARBARA JOHNSON IS THE CHRISTIAN VERSION OF ERMA BOMBECK. HAVEN'T READ ANY YET BY HER SO I AM NOT SURE. SOMETHING TO LOOK FOR IN THE LIBRARY.

LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK AND MAYBE I CAN COME UP WITH MORE.

Though the books are old- if you have a family Erma Bombeck is so funny.

"Shopping is a woman thing. It's a contact sport like football. Women enjoy the scrimmage, the noisy crowds, the danger of being trampled to death, and the ecstasy of the purchase."
and...

"Never go to a doctor whose office plants have died."
or...

Mother's words of wisdom: "Answer me! Don't talk with food in your mouth!"

It's all funny stories and sarcasm but she's so funny-hope this gives you a start. Good Luck

If you're into hunting, fishing, and outdoors type stuff try an author by the name of Patrick McManus. He tells some really funny stories.

Spike Milligan - Pukoon. I found it funny, but you need to read it to yourself with an Irish accent.
