This section is for Parents with adolescents right?

Yes, I believe it was meant for questions about parenting adolsecents. Maybe YA needs to make a separate Teen category outside the Pregnancy & Parenting section for teens to ask questions of their peers (or adults, if they're actually looking for advice from us!)

Or, of course, they could be asked to put their questions in a category that actually fit the question rather than the asker. A good half of them could go in Singles & Dating.

Yes, but kids come in here and ask questions anyway. I put all of my adolescent questions in parenting--that way other parents look at it, personally I don't look in the adolescent category very often.

LOL.. Yeah... but at least they are essentially owning up to the fact that they are adolescents by posting it in the adolescents sections.

KEY WORDS, the answer is in key word searches. From my own child who is online, she searches by keywords, they all do.

If a child is having parent trouble, they may search the word "parent." If they have done something wrong (shoplift, drinking, etc) they may search answers with those key words.

As far as this section being for parents, there is nothing wrong with hearing a child's view, although I take it with a grain of salt.

Right. Teens are using this as a chatroom for some reason. I don't know how it can be made more clear that this is a forum for parents to discuss parenting teenagers.

i agree with you. alot of them ask really dumb questions too. things they should be asking their parents and not a group of random strangers.. they get mad to when they get reported too i have noticed. they dont think the rules are meant for them.

your right but the teens who have questions wouldn't know where else to put their questions so they put them here.
