Strictly from a psychological standpoint, the dream implies frustration, helplessness, and/or feelings of futility. In most cases this stems from feeling a lack of purpose in your life. What do you do, and do you enjoy it?

I have bad dreams that repeat often but luckily I always know I'm dreaming so I sometimes enjoy them. Try to remind yourself you are dreaming, when you are dreaming, that's how i do it. Think about reminding yourself, and think about remembering to remind yourself when you are awake, at any time of the day and before bed. Hope it helps. By the way, in my case when I fall I often hit the bottom and I usually end up back at the top. I have loads of roller coaster flights, cars I can't drive and high rises without walls and all though the scare the **** outta me they are the best. Sorry just re read the question all the above isn't relevant, thought you were having nightmares.

You are not relying enough on your own self when it comes to solving big problems. The small problems yes, no doubt in your mind, but the bigger issues overshadow you and you are unwilling to admit to that. You are simply too afraid of the consequences and therefore the problems run away with you. The solutions you bring to the problems are not sufficient enough, probably not profound enough to make the real underlying problems disappear. Maybe it is a good idea to involve others around you into your personal sphere because it seems you are too keen on handling everything by yourself and that approach, unfortunately doesn't always work.

I was having 3 different dreams, at various times, for no apparent reason, and they were dreadful. This went on for just over 6 years, and I would wake up in a cold sweat, remembering only the part of my fingers slipping, and I was about to tumble down the side of a mountain. Well my Mother went to a set of 3 seminars, held by a Psychiatrist, and she spoke to him of my dreams. He said, tell your daughter to force herself to go back to sleep, and finish the dream, but this time, to let myself "fall" in the dream, before I wake. I did this, the dreams all stopped, and have never returned. So why am I saying all this?
Maybe now you can identify something in your dream that recurs, and then force yourself to finish your dream, and hopefully you will be done with it, as I was.
Good Luck.

Dreams are our minds way of making sense of what we have experienced in our day to day lives, our mind stores up all our experiences whether they be good or bad and in sleep it tries to make some sort of order out of the chaos's, it picks up random experiences one by one and tries to make sense of the disorder, So it makes up a story. This we call Dreaming, if we think good thoughts during the day, we will have pleasant dreams, if we think bad thoughts we have nightmares. "PLEASANT DREAMS" (The Sandman)

Too much worry, lack of order in every day life, perhaps, lack of selfconfidence too.

It means there is something in your waking life that you need to deal with & you may need help to do it. It may not be something you are aware of.
