Since you asked for the "formula" and not just a diet, here it is:

Your body is constantly using calories as the energy it needs.
With each and every movement (exercise or whatever) your body burns up this energy known as calories.

When you are "fat" your body is storing excess (unused) calories by way of fat in your body's cells (fat cells).
In order to lose weight you need to burn off these fat cells by forcing your metabolism to use these stored up calories instead of those calories you injest by way of eating.
You do this by taking in less calories (food) than your body needs for the amount of exercise (burning calories) you are doing.

If your body, for example, requires 3000 calories per day for the amount of energy (calories) you are using by way of exercise, and you only take in (eat) 1500 calories per day, then your metabolism (body) will need to take the other 1500 calories from your stored up fat cells (calories)...hence, this is how you will lose weight.

Calories required minus calories injested = calories (fat) you will lose as weight loss.
