Best method is the study buddy. Regularly scheduled sessions with 1 to 3 other students.

Since engineering involves a great deal of math learn to take notes in class by drawing a small ewxample of the mathematical problem. Doing a small phsycial exercise prior to class and studying, such as Simon Says, increases right and left brain involvement. Study your notes on a daily basis rather than waiting to the night before an exam. You will probably have a great deal of pop quizzes so being prepared on a daily basis will help a great deal. Eat prior to a test and take snacks wiht you if you have a long day. Food improves brain activity. If you work well with others form a study group in which you can help each other by asking and answering questions. Try to pay attention in class as much as possible. If you have on=line courses make sure you go to the library to see the lectures. If you tend to wander in class, sit up close to the lecturer. Dont schedule classes in the a.m. if you are not a morning person because missing a lecture will be harmful. If you are not an evening person dont schedule them late in the day. As soon as you have some down time, review your notes, and ask yourself some questions.

PLANNING is the key to succeed in Engineering studies. I also did Engineering.
Be result-oriented in learning, and prefer to learn for the sake of knowledge instead of good grades. That's gonna make a better person out of you.
Enjoy your life. I wouldn't advise you to cut down on normal activities.
Go to Gym regularly, and pump iron. Take care of health always.
It is OK to fall in love once or twice during Engineering. I did that. It's healthy sport. Spend enough time with girls, but don't let that affect your studies.
Be straight. Stay out of homosexuals.
Enjoy your engineering.

Learning style or technique is simply defined as how you like to learn. Knowing your learning style can be helpful in choosing a method of learning which works best for you. You can also try some different learning strategies which might enhance your learning.
One way of learning about your style of learning is to connect it to your personality type.
the link below is a good article that will hopefully help you determine your study techniques. Good luck :)

One good way to study is to leave the tv on a low volume and then study. You wont fall asleep by always looking at the textbook because you will be staring at the tv also. Cheers.

Don't drink, don't play video games, don't have sex (no worries since you are an engineer, but this is for everyone's benefit), don't hang out with friends....basically, don't f*ck off and you'll have nothing else to do but study.

What I do is type my notes. It helps me on my typing skills and as I'm thinking about what I'm typing I get to actually learn something without even trying. Then I study my typed notes.
