Study and work hard.

Use it as a business experience instead of a play hard or beer experience.

You bneed to learn how you study best. If you are a person who needs to study out loud and ask and answer questions, then a study group is best. IF you are visual, fold a piece of paper in half, draw a picture on one side and write a note or 2 on the other side. After all of your notes, look at them again. Then you should remember. Also kinesthetic activities imporovement memory, so if you can create something, or use your hands in certain subjects to recreate the problem taht should help. ALso, prior to studying or listening in class, do a small phsycial acticity such as Simon Says, for 30 seconds. The movement of your body will get your left and right brain working at the same time. This sisespecially best prior to an exam. Eat before an exam, and take snacks with you during the day. Food improvements brain activity. If you are not interested in the lecture and your mind wanders, sit close to the lecturerr to force yourself to stay awake. Take notes during class but dont write eveything down. If you use a lap top, just write one or two words that will trigger your memory later when reviewing notes. This way you can pay attention to the lecture. Also, dont just study for the test the night before. Review your notes on a dialy basis.

Along with study, work hard, work efficient, start projects early and so on also consider... If Lab techs are needed take it, its grunt work but it's EXPERIENCE. If internships are available same thing... Anything you can do to have some kind of real world experience along with the degree goes mile to help on a first time resume.
Best of Luck

go to class
go to class
go to class
do everything the teacher says as soon as possible
look ahead in the syllabus and read everything in advance
get involved. hang out with other kids in the class and talk about what is going on in class.
you will be successful if you follow everything you are told in class.
it's no big mystery.
