-How much does it hurt to get one on your wrist (the veiny side)?
-I want to hear your stories about getting tattoos as well.

Rib cage.
Not much can compare.
I work at a tattoo shop and have talked to many people. I have tattoos but mostly on my arms and back. Wrist tattoos can be painful, but it depends on your pain tolarance, all tattoos really do.

Keep in mind that wirst tattoos cant be too close to the palm of your hand. Do this:
Bend you hand down towards your forarm, see all the little lines that wrinkle up? put a mark about a a touch below them, thats where you should get your tattoo.

Sometimes when you get your tattoo in the part where the wrinkles are, it is difficult to heal, because of the constant bending of your hand, and because the scab comes off to early. You will need touch ups like crazy.
Your tattoo will heal better, brighter, and with the clearest lines if you get it below those lines.

Personally, I've heard both stories about wrist tattoos. I have a tattoo that wraps arpund my wrist, I dident find it that painful, but everybody's different.

Anywhere that has loose skin, no muscle in the area. I got a tattoo about 6 years ago an my arm and it is my name. It did hurt really bad and I have to get it color in, I thought I was not going to be able to let him finish because of the pain. I like it alot but I want get another one. Just make sure the needle is cleaned and that you take care of it for the first few days with the ointment. Good luck

The inside of your wrist is quite painful but nothing compared to some other places I've gotten them. Stay away from your belly and lower torso to avoid the worst pain. I will tell you that I'm the toughest person I've ever known and every tattoo has hurt. I have lots and lots of them and I like them alot but every time I'm in the middle of one I ask myself,"why didn't I remember this Pain?" I still say that I don't regret them but I also admit freely that they have all been painful.

i have 2 tattoos and the one on my lower back didnt hurt but the one on my shoulder blade did.
this is because there is no fat or muscle there to act as a shock absorber from the bone im guessing that the wrist would be exactly the same depending on how fatty it is
also everyones pain threshhold is different
i love my tattoos and i wouldnt change a thing

Here's where mine are and I'll list them in order from least painful to most painful:

1. Back of neck~didn't really feel it at all
2.Ankles~I have 5 on them....inside of the ankles hurt worse than the outside
3.Hip~Didnt tickles but wasnt awful
4. Between shoulderblades~I have 2 around that area
5. Bottom of the back(aka tramp stamp)~ Hurt almost as bad as getting the nipples pierced

I read a crime novel in which one of the killers, a Russian gangster, had tattoos done while he was in prison. He had them done on his eyelids by a guy who put a spoon under his eyelids to protect his eyeballs. Now that is a world-class painful way to get a tattoo and should be a winner in the "hurt the most" category.

As a general rule, anyplace that doesnt have a lot of muscle and is close to the bone would hurt. Lower back, near your love handles/kidneys also hurts. But it's also different for everyone, depending on pain thresholds and whatnot.

Pain varies from person to person... it all depends on your pain tolerance... I have one on the underside of my wrist and it felt weird...but it might be different for you... Im not sure what stories about getting tattoos you want to hear...lol

I read somewhere that tats are least painful on fleshy places, like your bum ot thigh, and most painful where your more taut, i.e. your shoulderblade, inner wrist/knee etc...

I haven't got any though... I'm too much of a wuss.

I have always heard the foot is the most painful, but my brother has the top of his foot done and he says it was't too bad. My back didn't hurt at all, but my stomache was awful - very painful. I think it depends on you.
