I would say yes!!! My husband plays the bass and he is good he can slid his fingers up and down and all that fancy stuff (he has long fingers), when he trired to teach me my fingers would bearly reach the top string and it hurt after I play ( i have really short fingers.)

yes,he can...but that's not the most important thing;when playing the guitar ur fingers hurt at the beginning but u eventually get used to it...long fingers can truly help u,but talent and hard work are much more important

no dought it helps but to tell you the truth its how you hold the instrument that makes the most difference ive got short fingers and just started playing the guitar and holding them the right way make it fine for me to play ...but id say longer fingers cant hurt :)

The mandolin or the ukulele! I even have worry employing those instruments by using fact my palms are too... great? yeah, strings get mixed up and stuff. they are extremely smaller than guitars. very almost like violins actual. sturdy success!
