Jay-Z is coming out of retirement...again. So he's already made another album, shot the video, and has, like, four superstars on this album. So if he was doing all that, doesn't that mean he was in retirement for not even a year?
Why? What are the perks of saying you're going to retire, then retire, only to still make songs with various artists, including your girlfriend, and make an album only a year later? I don't get it...help please?

I agree, Reggie. I love hip hop, but what ever happened to guys like 2Pac who had a message? Now it's all about who's got the most "ice" and bitches. And what the hell is the chicken soup song? Anybody heard that? It's ridiculous.

DRAMA... that's all it's about. You have to have it to sell records and that's what he's doing. His last albumj was "hyped" so well because it was supposedly his last, and it sold. Now he's coming out of retirement (lol- which he needs to do, if hip-hop plans to survive, these new acts suck:-( to show peeps that he can save this music. I'm basically sick of it all I'm going back to classical

yeah i kno it was only like three years and now hes comin out cuz beyonce is makin it big and he's jealous of her. He know he didnt want to retire he just wanted to make a big scene in the entertainment world. Watch he might just try to retire next year or after maybe his third cd!

It's a marketing ploy. He gets free media coverage this way. It boosts his sales and likewise his profits. In other words, it's all about the money.
