Because it is a fictitous story and the characters are written that way.
Seriously, if it were real, would you actually expect a bumbling nerdy guy to be such a suave superhero?

because Clark wears glasses and is a bit of a loser, if I may say it like that. Superman is cool and has one magical potion: lots and lots of hairgel!
