Some women just don't have the time to get back into an exercise routine. They are so busy with the baby, they don't think about eating healthy as well. HOWEVER, not all women stay fat. I am in great shape after having 4 kids!

First off your saying that women stay fat after having kids. Thats not true ... I had my son in Jan 2003 and I was in a size two * my normal size * by March 2003 ... So thats completely false. The reason that some woman dont lose weight is because they are just plain lazy or it was the second or third child. Which then it becomes harder to lose the weight. I know a few woman who are just plain lazy and have gained weight since they had their children and its been over a year!!! BUT in defense to the skinny mommys NOT all women are fat after having their children!!!
AND dads stay in shape MAYBE because they didnt just gain 30-40 lbs in 9 months and they dont have raging hormones running through their bodies!!!! You ever think of that ... Although some dads do gain sympathy lbs. but not all of them do. Dads dont have much to worry about!!!!

Dads don't get pregnant nor do they have any physical changes due to pregnancy. It takes many women time to get rid of that baby fat if they work at it. After my first, I was back in a Junior Size 5 a few months later.

It's really hard to understand that a woman's body when pregnant has been s-t-r-e-t-c-h-i-n-g for 9 months & it is NOT a rubber band that will go back to the way it was before pregnant. Time & a bit of working out is necessary. Also realize a dad's daily life has not changed as much as a new mom's. Patience & support are called for when a woman is trying to regain her figure pre-pregnant. BTW my husband was bigger in the belly than me with all my pregnancies.

You're kidding, right? I just had a baby a year ago and weigh 120 and wear a size 4. Not all women keep the weight. The world itself is just getting fatter and fatter. Obesity is at an all-time high.

The dad probably just looks in shape, it is much easier for a man to hide his flaws than it is for a woman. In addition, woman naturally store body fat and have a lower metabolism so it is even more difficult for them to lose weight. She obviously doesn't like her new body and tries to workout and eat right. But it is very discouraging when the scale refuses to budge. If the man suddenly finds his wife unattractive, he needs to "fix" his eyes. I am sure he is no Adonis himself. He needs to help support his wife through this emotional time. Instead of wishing she'd lose the weight, work out with her, take walks together, reassure her that she is still beautiful, and just encourage her with every effort that she puts in.

The dad didn't carry a baby for nine months and then give birth. The stork doesn't really bring babies to your doorstep...
My wife has had 3 kids, two of which were twins. She is trim and fit, but you can tell she is a woman that has had kids, and I love her with all the love of a thousand years for what she has gone through. They are good boys, too.

Sounds to me as if you have the views of someone who may be married to one of these ladies.
not all women remain (I wont say fat) slightly cuddly after giving birth, some do...dont criticise...because remember this they may end up big and beautiful, but did you know that when men get older their bollo.ks enlarge and their pen..s go smaller. do we women criticise them ...we accept them as they are...so they should accept a women for who she is, and what her shape is...
Just a little thought for you to ponder..
Hope it s not a lady asking this question..if so sorry.. but I still say it doesnt matter what size a lady is...before and after giving birth.

You can regain you previous body shape. Before I was pregnant with my 1st son I was all of 8stone then when in labour I weighed
15 stone. Yes I know that HUGE!!!! But now I am only 8.5 stone and that happened to be reached only 4 months after my son was born.
