Avoid arguments and understand the needs of others. Humbleness will win trust and confidence. Its not all about you but the well beings of people around you.

Two ways..
One, easy way, not long-lasting, fool the other person cleverly, cunningly, by a make-belief trick, with ofcourse some expertise.
Two, offer unconditional trust , placing the priority of other person over and above ours.. this may take time to really impress upon the other person, but the process itself is a great reward, and recognition, manifests only the big way-- by gratitude !

Hang out with them, talk, become friends. I think winning someones confidences just takes so time. Good luck with that.

Sorry, one does not win confidence of others.
One must earn them by sticking actions with words and admitting one's faults when things go wrong. (Do more of the former and avoid having to do the later with care.)
