i was such a mess 10 years ago, even 5 years ago I knew what i should do but didn't really care enough to do it.

i was thinking that all things considered, If were to die tommorow I would be happy with things I have done and the way I have acted....I dont know I could have said that a few years ago....
.how about you?

Things have gotten better for me in the last 5 to 10 years. It's not to say that they weren't good 5 or 10 years ago. Things were great 5-10 years ago but I had a lot more stress and felt like I was juggling a lot more things then with growing children, hectic work schedule. The kids are all grown now, I work but it is because I want to not because I have to. I have more time to do things that are satisfying and interesting and I have much less negative outside stimulation.

Life is what you make of it. If you regret you never move forward, so what is the point in regretting something after it is done, if it always makes you look back.

I don't regret things that have happened 5, 10 years ago, because I know that all the decisions that I have made, or other people have made that impact me, were meant to happen.

Remember but don't regret, and move forward with your life.

regretting things you've done in life is a waste of time ...life's short... you just go along with the decisions you make and deal w/ them. I married a horrible man when I was 18 but I thought that's what you're supposed to do y'know get married, have kids and a house, well it didn't quite work that way, The man was abusive, quit work after we got married and I got pregnant. too make a long story short, We divorced I raised my kids alone but it definitely taught me a lot about myself and my abilities as a mom and a woman i have no regrets.

Really no sense in looking back. If you are happy today, then you did good. If not work on making changes. Focus on looking forward, not back.

You can't change the past, but you can your future.
