I really hate my job too. How can I get myself to feel better, once I am here?

First, start looking for another job. If you do something you hate that is giving you physical symptoms eventually it will make you sick - stop work or find another job.

Once you are to this point, there really isn't much you can do. Meditation could be helpful. Focus on why you choose this job, or what you hoped to gain by taking the job. If you focus on the postive of the job and how you excel at that part of it, you can at least feel good about what you do. However, your health is worth more than your making more than likely, so hit the classifieds and start sending out resumes. Cut back as much as you can with your current expenses so that you can afford to take a pay cut if necissary to take a job that you've always dreamed of. The benefit of doing something you enjoy will make your home life better too. Be sure to eat a balanced diet and exercise through this rough patch of life to counter the damage the stress doing to your body.

I know you probably will not want to hear this, but it may or may not be the job...I had the same problem for years...I felt sick when I went to work at ANY job...the problem turned out to be me, not the job.

This may not be the case with you, but it would not hurt to take a look at it.... Do you have problems accepting situations the way they are? Do you constantly feel like the problem is someone else...all of the time... If so, the problem may be you, and your inability to cope with situations you cannot change and have no control over.

Turns out, I am alcoholic, and after I stopped drinking and working a program of recovery, these types of problems started to slip away...

I am not saying this is the case with you, but it would not hurt to take a look at it.

Is it your Job?
Would you honestly be happier doing that EXACT job in another company?
Does your shift interfere with something you really need to be doing? ( looking after a sick relative or a small child or something like that)
Is it your boss or direct superior?
Is it your co-workers?

You need to start by working out exactly what you hate. The next step is to decide how viable it is to change that one area. Can you change shift to avoid the person causing you stress or enable you to do something that needs doing. Retraining in another field is another option. If you find that you can't alter your circumstances then you might need to look outside your work life for an outlet.

Sounds like nerves. But there may be a medical/physical reason. Any chemicals where you work? Loud noises, high voltage electricity can cause physical symptoms.
If you hate your job, look to see if there is anything you can change about it, such as duties, location, time of work day.
Last resort may be to learn relaxation techniques such as meditation or yoga.
The easiest and best thing to do would be find a job that you like, if possible.

If you feel like that, its time to move on. I felt like that at my job and i talked to my supervisor and she was supportive and willing to help me. Turns out there was a position opening in another department and I was accepted for that and have been good so far. So I would suggest talking to someone at the office and see if there is anything else you can do, if not then its safe to say that you should move on. But I wouldn't quit w/o having something lined up. Hope this helps.

Two options: Quit and get another job

or

Make lemonade out of the lemon. It is all about your attitude and perspective.

Long time ago a friend shared with me the definition of a professional. A professional executes his/her job to the best of her ability every single day INDEPENDENT of peer pressure, likes or dislikes. You get the job done...period.

As simple as that!

Make sure you are doing the best job you can do. In the meantime look for another job - it isn't healthy to live this way.
