The Byrds,Led Zepp and Pink Floyd,(same evening),Fairport Convention.Dr John,Jefferson Airplane,Donovan,Santana,Moody Blues,Flock,Hot Tuna,Zappa and The Mothers,Colloseum,Country Joe McDonald,Johnny Winter......and even more ,at the Bath festival near Shepton Mallet in 1970. I had very little cash and hitched up from St Ives on the Friday eve,climbed two 12 foot fences and had a totally life and music changing experience.In the words of the day,"It was far out !!!

Glastonbury 93,met perry farrell,saw the kinks,the orb ,had some great mushrooms and to top it off saw the Velvet underground,who arrived by hot air balloon!Supergrass and Beta band at the Eden project a couple of years ago ,a right cracker!

Yes, I remember going to see the Sensational Alex Harvey Band at the Portland Building, Nottingham University, way back in the early 70's. I think the band made a comeback visit mor recently minus Alex, more as a tribute but still with one or two of the original band, which I missed. I also saw the Small Faces at what was then the Sherwood Rooms, around the same period (the 70's) I really envy you for having seen Pink Floyd!!! We've got the Moody Blues coming to Nottingham this month.

My initiation to the concert experience was:
Testament, Megadeath and Judas Priest, Painkillers Tour. (80's)
I've also seen Doobie Brothers & Foreigner, Yes (In the round), Alice Cooper, Ted Nugent & Lynyrd Skynyrd and Pink Floyd at the MGM Grand in Vegas.
My daughter was two at the time and sitting on the edge of her seat, rocking back and forth while they did 'Another Brick In The Wall'. She looked like she was head banging! It was great, she absolutely loved it.
The funny thing is my first choice in music is Country and I've never gone to a Country concert, but I was raised with Rock-N-Roll. I love it all.

Saw Def Leppard when I was 17 years old in Don Valley Stadium (Bless me!!). Hottest day of the year but we managed to position ourselves near the stage and near the st johns ambulance people...A few well placed "need water" groans and we were the most hydrated people there. All the bands were fantastic and Lep put on a great show....Will always have a soft spot for them!

Bob Dylan in 1965 at the Free Trade Hall, Manchester, England, and again in 2002 at the Manchester MEN arena.
The Eagles at the 1996 "Hell freezes over" tour at McAlpine stadium, Huddersfield.
Every night at the local dancehall in the 60's, all the Manchester and Liverpool bands.(Beatles, Hollies, Gerry & Pacemakers,etc.

my first music festival was BUZZFEST XVII, here in Houston, TX. it was this past june. there were 15 bands on 2 stages and it was awesome!!! the bands were: staind, hoobastank, people in planes, shinedown, trapt, three days grace, candlebox, blue october, buckcherry, hurt, huck johns, bril, 10 years, hinder, and evans blue.
it rained for the first few hours and the clouds parted and it started drying up when candlebox was on stage...so awesome!!i will never forget that!!! also there were a lot of people mudding down the hill and body durfing in fromt of the second stage and getting hurt.

The Monkees Reunion Tour at the State Fair in Indiana. I was in the 6th grade and I went with my parents and brother. It was actually a lot of fun!!!

Re.vive@Soul Survivor, year after Stoneleigh finshed, went to a Phatfish gig, then in 2003 i went to Festival Manchester and went to another Phatfish gig and was right at the front in the middle with my Best Mate Kerry. (On the last day of that one Cameron from BB was there!!!)
Camping is sooooooo much fun!!!

unfortunately I'm 20, so i didn't get to see the old good bands. My first concert was rubbish, I went to see funeral for a friend, but they didn't show up and I was stuck with franz ferdinand before they were famous.

Awesome bands, but I was only 3 at the time. My parents listened to that music and that is how I got turned on to it all. I love it all and as far as today's music, most of them have no talent.
