that is not real

We have all sorts of evidence. Just to offer three lines:

- the accounts of literally millions of people involved in the space program, down to the ordinary Americans who sewed the space suits worn by the astronauts. Not one reputable person involved has ever admitted that it was all a hoax;

- artifacts, like moon rocks, returned to earth. They have been examined by a myriad of scientists, none of whom has ever asserted, in any way where the claim could be tested, that the stuff is faked;

- items like laser reflectors were left on the moon by the astronauts. They are still in operation today. Anyone who asserts that they are not there must offer an alternative explanation as to how they work nonetheless.

The Communist Chinese are trying to reach the moon. Assuming that they will one day claim to have made it, will you then ask whether the Chinese are the first? If the Chinese produce pictures of American space junk on the moon, will it then be alleged that the Chinese pictures are fakes?

I lived at the time.
I have been in the United states military. I have witnessed space capsule recovery.
I know the science.
If I had the money, I could do it myself.
Oh, and look at campbelp 2's answer, good point.
The Soviets did ride around the moon I believe, they did not have the technology to land.
I could be wrong about that one, I would need to research it, but there was a lot of stuff flying around then, and it did not cost as much.

There are millions of people still alive who remember that day. One American in 500 now living was involved in the Apollo Moon Landing project. Why would so many people agree to lie to you and your friends about it? Why do you think you are that important?

Yes, we went, and some of us are getting tired of morons saying we didn't. Get a hobby.

Americans went to the Moon to prove that we could do it and the Soviets couldn't. It was a cold war competition and the Soviets lost. Since the looser, the Soviet Union, never claimed we faked it, then I find it hard to believe that it was faked. If anyone was going to say we cheated, it would have been the looser of the contest, don't you think?

Am I the only one who couldn't care less about whether they actually landed on the moon or not? The technology that the space race program spawned was real and has lead to many of the luxuries we have today. Governments have been lying since the beginning of time, just rack up another one and tell them to get the lighting right next time.

Clarify your question a bit. Are you trying to say that there was no moon landing? And if so, what proof do you have that there was no one?

We went because it was hard, and I'll not try and change your mind.

Simple truth.... We did.

The better question is why did we do it?
