how can v prepare our kids born and studying in US to prepare for Indian education level? i have a kindergartener , at this age the kid should be in Grade 1 in India... v plan to R2I next year. will that mean the loses one year? I have Hyderabad schools in mind.. which is best State syllabus or CBSE or ICSE?

for the grade 1 u have to work hard to teach then at early age , as the age u r descriing hey usually have entrance exams, the mother tongue either the national language or state language is important too
as far as the new language they need to learn will not be difficult as kids can catch up very fast
the study satndards are higher in maths and science but you have to put an extra effort to make them study more and harder
CBSE syllabus as far as i kno is more logical and more changelling while ICSE is very bulky , for ICSE you go through a lot of bookds but the exams are usually easy
CBSE prepares the kids more for further tough competitions
the other think is that you do ur own research ask somebody in india and if possible go thru the books

Any private school will give your kid a test and make a decision about the grade.Do not worry.Little kids change very easily.
