My World History teacher was telling us how in Saudi Arabia they cut off your hands for shopplifting, beat you with a bamboo stick for grafitting and other thing. Does anyone know any other unusual punishments for crimes in other countries?? (I'm from U.S.A) THANKS<3

In Singapore , if u are convicted with rape or other serious crime ... they cane u on the backside in jail .

I was in Ryad Saudi Arabia in 1991 and saw a woman accused of adultery get beheaded! I was shocked, but hey it isn't America so I could do or say nothing about it!

they are doing a lot of whipping in india sometimes forcing the families to publically flog their loved ones for a crime and then sent off too prison if you act up there you get you butt cained and we complain about a few swats on the backside here. i imagine there are americans punished over there too

i'm pretty sure your country is like mine, canada. we share some bizarre sentencing for crime
eg. if you rape a child that is not known to you, you are a sexual predator
if you rape your own child, good luck for the kid to get help or you to get sentenced
eg. if you beat a woman on the street in front of witnesses and you do not know her, you will be charged with assault
if you beat your wife on the street in front of witnesses, the cops will call HER stupid
my point here, all countries have laws, it is in the application of the law that a country reveals itself

In Australia if you got caught drunk driving they would put your spouse in jail with you..Can you imagine what punishment that was?
