It seems to be a lack of genuine creativity and I am sure budget and time restraints.
There are so very few that aare worthwhile, aren't there?
I don't know how many times we are supposed to watch someone fall through a ceiling to the floor below, or be subject to vulgarity instead of higher level synthesis....
I know I lose interest. The problem is that young people buy it as the model - thinking this is how things are supposed to be or that these stories are true rather than that someone sat down and purposelly wrote them. Iy has alot to do with our societal problems.
And let's not even start on television...

It is a business - money drives the content - but the effects are of great concern. Lack of responsibility from those who have it.

I don't know. Give me the movies made in the 30's and 40's. Got a story line and no hot sex or violence.

would say because the moral and entertainment tones of our Culture and Society has changed so drastically over a long period of time.

i will never prefer a film which has no sex and violence.
