Get a good book an ipod and a gameboy, tough the ride on the bus out with the help of these gadgets. Bus kinda blows and is noisey and long, but you will be glad you did, and your family will be too.

Can you take a train instead?

Statistically speaking, you are safer in an plane than crossing the street, but bet you've heard all that before. It depends on how much seeing your family means to you.

If it's a long bus ride, bring a book to read or a magazine. Or just rent a car and drive yourself down south.

Yes you should visit your family. I would drive. Well I don't know how far away you are. I hate planes and I won't get on one..

I still fly, but it is quite understandable to be hesitant to get on a plane anymore. If you are that freaked out, take the bus. I know they suck....but going home is usually worth a little more bother.......
Mmmmmm home cookin', and familiarity are worth a shitty bus ride.

planes are the safest mode of transport unless yoou get some crazy passengers who take over it. but i doubt that can happen now. stay awake all night then the bus trip isn't that long. trust me...thats what i do

Remember this: You're more likely to roll out of your bed and die by breaking your neck than die in a plane crash.

It always made me feel better.

They say that more people die of road accidents than air accidents

I hope this helps.

Trust me, family is very important.

Give my regards.
