I have this friend, and we used to hang out ALL the time. But then, she was selling her puppies and I bought one. Then about 6 weeks later we had to get rid of him because we couldn't keep him, I was sooo sad. But now she hates me and she hates when I talk about my other dogs. I don't know what to do. I mean, is she being completely immature about this or was I wrong to give him away?

you had the right to do whatever you felt was best with respect to the puppy and your own life.

your fren should seek to understand your constraints before acting this petty way.

But if you want to keep her as a friend, drop her note to explain and tell her your real situation. If she's smart, she will understand.

Again, you didn't do anything to deserve this. Just clear up the misunderstanding. She might have taken it personally.

well what you should of have done if you could not keep him after you purchase the puppy from your friend then you should give it back to her and tell her your situation why you could not keep the puppy, then if she refuse to take the puppy back then you go and give it away , i dont think that she hates you and you was not wrong in giving it away just slightly did not think before you did it , i hope you and your friend could start to hang out again good luck.......

From your question it looks like you are treating the dog as a commodity (you paid for it, so can do whatever you like with it), rather than another living being.

If you are such great friends, did you not discuss what was happening with your dog? You might have had to find another home for the dog (you don't explain why you gave him up), but you could have talked to her first. She has a right to be angry with you.

She is hurt that you got rid of the puppy. You might have asked her 1st if she wanted it back, that way after she said no, you could have found it a home. Talk to her, tell her you can tell she is upset, and you are sorry for not asking her 1st if she wanted it back. That might open the door for your friendship to renew.

That is kind of a hard question to answer cause you didn't say why you had to get rid of that one particular dog and not any of your other ones. This is a question that we would need to hear both sides of.

You weren't wrong. You did what you had to do. You paid for the dog making it yours and whatever you do is your right. I think your friend is wrong and needs to pick her battles. I think there's other things that would could piss her off besides a dog that YOU owned and YOU paid for..

I can't understand your question. But I think that your problem is not leaving of a puppy but something else, of emotion.

Why must we always be right or point fingers at someone that is wrong. You did what you had to do. Let it rest, there are bigger things in life to worry about.
