NO. Take a good look around at the kind of people and organisations who run the world. The "Good guys" seem to be the ones on TV complaining that not enough is being done to help, rather than being the ones in charge. Sorry.

Given a great deal of time, I believe things tend to get better. It's easy to get caught up in the daily ups and downs, but just think,,,
Slavery is just a bit of bad history in this nation and most others, after being the norm for thousands of years.
Women are increasingly taking their place in elected office after thousands of years of discrimination.
We have Social Security - a system designed to afford all our elders some degree of dignity in their retirement.
The list could go on.
Certainly bad things happen, and will continue to, but I bet that in a thousand years, things will be much better. After all, that's what the last thousands of years have show.

Things are going to get preogressively worse through time. How can you expect things to get better when the majority of people are "messed up" in the head and promoting some messed up ideas? In any case, your friend is also right. Good will eventually win out in the end when God wipes us all out and puts everyone in their place.

Historically it was not so... bad seems to win and there are good reasons for that. Here are some reasons why bad is more likely to win:
- being flexible: The bad tend not to have values that they stick to so they adjust quicker to the changing situations
- playing foul and discrete: They do, don't they?
- who pays the costs: The bad do not care who pays the costs as long as they benefit
- have hidden agendas: Hypocracy.is a major characther of the bad... who can deny.

Unfortunately the good guys do not always win.Sometimes you will find that life deals us a bad hand.Might is not always right. So we must learn to accept the result and move on>There is an old saying though, what goes around comes around.

absolutley not.
it depends what your perception of good id though. if your on the losing side then you probably dont think that good always wins.
i agree with you. depressing and scary as it is, people will always have wars because they will always want to have more than their neighbour. it used to be about land, then religion, then oil.
in so far as the good guy always getting the girl/scoring the winning goal/beating the bullies-thats not true either. sad but true.

I agree with you. Good does NOT always win. A more appropriate observation of humankind is, "Nice guys finish last." That's why there will be a battle called Armageddon eventually.

Right (or the good guy) will always win out in the end - just probably not in your lifetime.
Trouble is, both sides think that they hold the moral high ground - so just who should win?
