Hi
Im planning to buy a nokia n70.I have been looking around at online retailers-most of them have a 14 day return policy, however i found a seller on ebay who has a 30 day return policy and his feedback is 100%.Do you think i should buy such an expensive item($350) from ebay.
Thanks

It is completely safe. People buy cars on Ebay. As a seller & buyer on Ebay myself, I urge you to pay by PayPal so you will be protected if something should go wrong with the transaction. You as a buyer are protected up to $1000 with PayPal.
Also, many reputable businesses are now using Ebay, so this person could be a licensed reseller of Nokia. You didn't say how many feedback he has but if he has over or around 100 feedbacks from buyers, not sellers, than I would buy it. If he has 3 feedbacks, I would pass. Good Luck!

I sometimes wonder why people would want to buy a phone from, ebay other than the manufaturer itself. 30 days return policy????? Why must i go for that when I could get 1 year warranty? Maybe, I am mixing up everything you said. But that is not a wise Idea. My friend did that, and she got herself a broken phone. Yes during the 30 days, the phone was working alright. Afterwards, it just went crazy. As for me, I would advise that you contact nokia itself.. Depending which part of the world you are. They have an online shop both in the US and Europe. In africa, you can contact their authorized delears. With this, you are 100% rest assured that anything happens to your phone, u will get a new one. If you want it with a contract, why don't you contact the service provider... Maybe you can even buy it for less, and at the same time a whole year warranty, depending on your contract.

You can visit the site below, and select your location, if you wish to purchase the phone on line.

Good Luck

If the seller has a good amount of feedback, and is at 100% positive, it tells you that most likely they are reputable. You want to look at the other items they have sold recently, and how long they have been on e bay. Check the ID history, to be sure that they have not changed the id to bury some negative information.

100% positive with 5 total feedback items is not hard to do. 100% positive with 500 feedback responses is a lot harder.

Good luck!
