I found it interesting that Yokozuna is actually the highest rank in Sumo and there is only one active Yokozuna right now. It is very prestigous. I also found it fascinating that the wrestler was actually Somoan. Vince! You dawg!
Yokozuna failed a physical by the New York State Athletic Commission, which revolked his wrestling license in just about every State.
Yokozuna was never seen in a WWF ring again..
In The Meantime:
Yokozuna was spotted around the independant circuit for the next few years..
October 1999 - Heroes of Wrestling PPV: King Kong Bundy & Jim Neidhart beat a 700lbs Yokozuna and a 'drunk' Jake Roberts..
2000: Yokozuna participated in a tour in Australia, then began a tour of Europe..
October 23, 2000: While in Europe, Yokozuna passed away in his sleep due to heart failure -- he was 580lbs at time of death..

For the last answer.
Don't make me laugh. Yokozuna did die a number of years ago.
He died somewhere in the UK doing a wrestling tour for an indie company.
But he most certainly didn't come back a Rikishi.
Although Rikishi was actually related to Yokozuna.

Yokozuna never returned for the WWF, and now he never will. He was found dead at the age of 38 (his official age dated from a 1996 WWF publication) on Monday in Liverpool, England...

Rodney Anoa'i (October 2, 1966 – October 22, 2000) was an American professional wrestler, most commonly known as Yokozuna.
Anoa'i died of a massive heart attack while on a wrestling tour in Liverpool, England; his obesity of over a reported 600 pounds [1] was likely a major factor in his premature death. His last opponent was Shinjiro Ohtani. Anoa'i had only recently turned thirty-four years old.
