Whether it's a downloadable one or one you have to buy from the store...it doesn't matter I'd just like to know...but do say where you can find it though.

Second Life is a similar game but you play in real time with other people, you can download a free version from their site.

Get Sim City 3000 or 4. You get to deal with a whole city and it does get really complicated - you have to be really into it to be successful.
Having never played The Sims I can't say for sure, but I think that the Sims can link into Sim City, so your Sim families and neighbourhood can be part of your city.
Plus there are games like Theme Park, Theme Hospital, Roller Coaster Tycoon, Zoo Tycoon, and Sim-pretty-much-anything-you-can-think-of.

you can get Sims 2 Expansions like:
Nightlife: you can go out and play bowling and go dancing
University: you can send your teenagers to university
Open for Business: you can open your own business like a bakery and hair salon
Family Fun: This is just a stuff pack where you get more stuff
Glamous: Stuff pack also but with richer stuff
Pets: Comming Later like in October but you can create a pet and control them (bad thing: Hilary Duff might be in the game walking her Dog!!!!)
Or you can also get Sims 1

Well they kinda made the expansions to give people more things to do. but you can download a cool online game with cars sort of like the sims
