last night i had my very first drink
just to see how it would taste
and i felt a burning feeling
down there around my waist
then i had another
and my tongue was gettin' thicker
but i thought this ain't so bad
for my very first drink of likker
then the barkeep set 'em up
and i got kinda woozy
and i started makin' eyes
at the local barroom floozy
we sat there a little while
and i had a couple more
don't even remember my buddies
totin' me out the door
then i woke up next mornin'
and i got to thinkin'
to hell with all this likker, man
i ain't cut out for drinkin'

Sort of doggerel, ballad type of poetry. Not many people do that these days. Ever thought of writing country music?
