He says he needs his own time, he browses his laptop, or his phone and it is really annoying. I have tried speaking to him about it and he says he will do anything for me but he won't do that! Should I leave him to it? He spends about half an hour each time, about 4-6 times a day.

We do have a second toilet, but it is not that I need to use the toilet, he goes in there usually when I ask him to help me clean the house. Yes he reads the paper to in there too. He says that it is his office. He says that ALL men love to sit in the toilet for ages. I just want him to spend more time with me.

What is it with you women? It seems like every woman in a relationship in the world complains about this. Yes we do read in there. No, I personally do not use a laptop because it might be an electrical hazard in a bathroom, but I would not dream of critizing a man who does.
A man's toilet is his last bastion of refuge, a seat that he can always call his own. Do not mess with a man's toilet!

It sounds like that is the only place that he feels he can go to get any privacy and be left alone to have a private conversation or not have anyone hovering over his shoulder.
Personally, I think it is very weird and more than a little suspicious that he has to take a phone or a laptop in there. Very suspicious, indeed, and I would definitely have some trust issues with that.

It sounds like he wants alone time, and the toilet is the only place he can get it. Perhaps you need to arrange an hour every day where the two of you can do your own stuff. I think he's giving you a sign that he wants his privacy.

You should decorate your bed room as a toilet, BUT it can't happen. He needs no toilet but a quiet space where nobody would disturb him. I believe this is the key to your question. I have no futher information from you about his "own time" which he devotes to badly. You can solve your problem following the thread.

I think if he really needed his own space/time he could talk to you about it, and not have to hide out in the bathroom...that's rather weird (especially several times a day)...he's hiding what he's doing from you 2 to 3 hours a day...
Something's up...keep your eyes open...

You deserve significantly better - in basic terms one difficulty on my own - the verbal abuse - no individual might want to ought to take that - it does a great deal of damage to you emotionally and to your self-esteem. human beings will in basic terms take care of you the way you enable them to handle you.. For years I submit with verbal abuse and that i recognize how terrible it really is. finally, i realized that it develop into because I submit with it and under no circumstances something develop into ever going to regulate except I DEMANDED understand for myself. In my case the abuse develop into from my teenage daughter, and my husband grew to develop right into a blind eye. So, I sat them both down in the destiny, and defined that if i develop into verbally abused even in basic terms once extra, i develop into shifting out..I meant it. The abuse stopped at present. Please bypass for counselling! no individual on the following is going to be in a position that could want to really help you want a specialist can. You deserve understand, understand that.. and verbal abuse isn't any diverse than different forms of abuse. do not settle for it. for my section, i imagine the entire difficulty is risky. are you able to leave and stay with a chum or relations for awhile? What about a females's guard? this can provide you with time to discover artwork.. and it would want to substitute the way he treats you each and every of the whole

geez, wish my man would lock himself in the bathroom once in a while....lol!
Seriously though, that sounds a wee bit odd.....I can see, maybe once a day, but 4 to 6 times? At half hour intervals???? he is escaping with "something"...not sure what though.........
