That's a fancy way of saying clear speech. Is it easily understandable?People who mumble, have articulation errors, have breathing difficulties, or are under the influence etc may lack clarity in their speech. Of course, young children, people just learning a language, people under stress or who need more sleep may also lack clarity. There are lots of medical conditions which could affect a person's speech clarity, especially stroke and head injuries. In my old age, I find that I sometimes need to search for words or stumble with the pronunciation of a little used word, so sometimes my speech lacks clarity.
