You can't overcome claustaphobia in a few days time unfortunately. As someone who has dealt with this myself for many years , all I can reccomend is that you slowly challange yourself with situations that make you nervous a little at a time to build up some degree of tolerance. I am able to tolerate close spaces for up to 2 hours after working on this for the last 20 some odd years.

I'm a nurse, and many times I have to transport my patient to the MRI. We administer Ativan to patients, so they can sit still.
A 2mg dose is good. If you have a couple of days before the procedure. Go see your doctor and get a prescription before it. If you're an outpatient, most likely your Ativan will be in oral form, a pill. Take a couple of hours before.

I think your screwed. One suggestion might be hypnosis.
A MRI doesn't take that long. Hopefully you should be able to pull through it. Another suggestion might be some sort of anti-anxiety medication. to help you through the ordeal.

Oh Lord! If you manage to do it let me know.
I have fought that battle all my life, but that is one thing it would take10 wrestlers to carry me inchains, biting , kicking, writhing and screaming obscenities .
My heart goes out to you. Maybe they will sedate you in some way?
Ugh! It is freaking me just thinking about it.
God bless. Will be thinking of you!
