Think about it, the best invention does not necessarily need to be recent, it can be 4000 years old. It's not strictly scientificyet the scientific rammifications are endless, you did say "invention that humanity ever witnessed"

The scientific method itself. With that, most all the modern inventions were made. Before Gallileo, there weren't more than a dozen inventions.

Nuclear Bombs.

Because that is the only thing that will eliminate the scourge of Islamic extremism when Mecca and Medina is Nuked and all the Islamic nations are bombed out of existence.

Personally I think indoor plumbing. Anyone who ever had to use an outhouse in December with snow up to the eaves will agree.
