in my previous screen i heard that sound for two weeks, then the blue color has gone, i returned it to warranty and they gave me another one, but this new ne also make sounds when turned off, im afraid that it break down, like the previous one, plz help, is it electricity or what??
i use Samsung SyncMaster 793DF monitor, 220v electricity

Probably just the power supply idling in the standby mode. I wouldn't worry about it if everything else works right. Transformers can make a buzzing sound and it's nothing to worry about.
Boy, I wouldn't trust Andy... sounds like he's been on drugs.

This was another store return that they shovelled to you and likely you've been ripped, it is under stress of the LCD diode or CRT gun (both make similar sound in stress) this screen is not in a shape that's expected from a replacement.
Although it happens when its OFF? Do you mean when its ON?

Monitor is bad. Sounds like those monitors have had a bad production run (IE A bad batch)
