My 2003 Oldsmobile Alero's window doesn't roll down unless I push it down manually, but it does roll up with the button. I was told that the plastic brackets on both sides of the window are cracked and broken, which are located inside my door. Where do I get this fixed? The dealership or an auto glass place?

Always call around and get bids on what you need to get done,, independent garages have a lower price on the flat rate hour than dealers do, although dealers have factory trained techs, that know exactly how to repair your problem. and what you were told about the window regulator is correct !!!!!!!!!!

I have found that the best place to get problems with windows fixed is a glass shop. They deal with those issues every day, where a dealership does not. Many dealerships sublet window repairs to the glass shops.

Hey, it would be best to take it to a shop to have it fixed, however i wouldnt take it to a dealer. Find an alternitive repair shop, they will be cheaper and prolly more reliable. Good Luck!!

Take it to the dealer- let them do it with their parts so they will be totally liable for their product.
