We have a '99 Yukon. There is dampness in the rear carpet just inside of the van doors. We are trying to learn if this is a problem common to some other Yukons or other suvs with van doors and if so, which gasket seems to be the problem. If someone has had this problem, can you give us any info. as to exactly where the water is coming in and how to have it repaired.

I used to repair these on a regular basis, chances are you have a weather strip coming loose, check them closely by looking for loose spots, or small openings, if you find them use 3M weatherstrip adhesive to re glue them, it's available at any parts house !!!!!!!!!!!!

properly of course if it relatively is stank, you do no longer choose to be touching it with your bare palms. i'd advise donning protecting equipment, to boot as gloves and a mask. you could by no potential be too careful whilst coping with such issues, and there is in basic terms some smells you would be at an advantage to no longer have entering your lungs. Your first attempt at removing it relatively is going to likely be slow. this form you could look extra skillful and knowledgeable approximately what you're doing. The extra you do away with, the extra you could velocity up, once you sense gentle in doing so. in case you're taking a while, and positioned the attempt and capability into it that it merits, the advantages would be being waiting to place your eyes upon those captivating hardwood flooring, working your palms over to sense the graceful floor, and smelling the candy heady scent of the timber, fairly once you're taking a while to rub and varnish it to perfection. sturdy success on that.

Water leaks happen. Your doors may need adjusting, or your weatherstrips might be torn or out of place. Most body shops or dealerships can help you out with leak repairs.
