I think u should start talking to girls. If u continue being shy, how are u going to cope up with the modern world's challenges? These challenges call for everyone to act upon together. You have got to improve ur communication skills. Not only to girls, talk to everyone.
But make sure, u dont go out of limits while talking and embarass urself totally. Just go ahead and talk. There's nothing wrong with it. Just open urself up gradually.
Im not "urging" u to disobey ur mother but if ur mother trusts u, then there is no reason y she should limit u. Afterall, it will benefit u ultimately.

There is no harm talking to girls. But, keep in mind the topic you are talking about. Because you are a shy person, always try to keep the topic in which you are smart enough and will not feel being let down. Sooner or later your shyness will go while talking to girls.

you are 20, and you listen to your mam...wait is that mam or mother..... if it is mother you shoul dgive respect to her words. if it is madam, ...........who will listen to others once they crossed 16 or 18 yaar.
