Sure you can. Or you can develop a liking of who you think they may be, or want them to be. When you haven't met someone you kind of have a fantasy of what or who they are. That's why you like them. Meeting them would probably throw you off.....

Yes! Yes! Yes! 10 years ago, I met my {now} husband online in a chat room. He was in one state, I was in another. We chatted and e-mailed for a while, graduated to phone calls, and by the time I actually MET him face to face, I was already in love. I had no idea what he looked like, but I knew that we would have a great relationship.

If you mean on line then my answer is yes, I fell for someone a few years ago even though we had never met. I think its because you still get their personality coming through in the conversations you have with them. I never took it any further though.

Yes it is, its like a cosmic chemsitry and sometimes the other person feels the same way. Actually the other person does a lot of the time (if you've actually written to them and not watched from a far)

I guess if you are in communication, phone or email, even texting, and there are good personalities, then yes, it's possible.

Yes, and atleast you know you like them for who they are not what they look like. A wonderful relationship there.
Then hope they aren't ugly, as then it can make you only ever want to talk to them without seeing them.
