Man, everyday I wake up I wish I could be 20 forever, but I know that soon I'll be 30 then 35, 40, it scares the s-h-i-t out me! What worse I don't even have a clue of my situation in general at those times! I wish I never grow up, any fairies or genie out there?

When I was 19, I used to think people over 30 were pretty much ready for their graves. I just could not see myself as being that "old". Many lessons and experiences later, I'm now 54 - and happy, healthy and loving my life.

As a child growing up in the 1950's, it was not unusual for people to die in their mid-60's. Now, thanks in part to advances in the medical field, we have the ability to live healthy lives into our 80's, 90's and beyond.

Both physically and mentally, I don't feel anything close to my current 54 years. I look like I'm 10 years younger, and my voice sounds like I'm 20 years younger. (People always tell me I sound much younger by phone). LOL!! Although I've gone through difficult times in my life, I've enjoyed each 'stage' of my life. Each has taught me valuable lessons. I'm thankful for the love of those around me. Every day I wake up and I'm thankful to have been blessed with another day of life. Sometimes I feel that fear of getting older you speak of, but, considering the alternative, I'll take the fear.

You have what's known as the "Peter Pan Syndrome", y'know, not wanting to grow up. Don't worry a lot of people, including me feel that way. I'm almost 19 and so many parts of me just want to hang on to the image of being a child, having no worries, no responsability, lots of free time, etc. But I know that we live in the real world, and time has to go on, ushering in new generations and sweeping away old ones. How else could that happen in a rational way if no one ever grew old and died? It's just life, sweetie!

I freaked out last weekend. I am 21 and my sister and her friend are 17. So they wanted to go out to a club. At first you think, you'll take them to all the places you use to go. They were telling me where we should go!The clubs are different and the people there are different. The girls are so young, but they look older than me!I felt so old!!I haven't gone out to a club for a LONG time, so I was a bit nervous. It was loads of fun, but you cant help thinking: "GEEZ, Im old"

Someday we will all die and there is nothing you can do about it. Even if you went for botox everyday and ate healthy, age will come to you. You might not look old, you might not be sick, because of age, but deep down inside you'll feel old. Keep a young spirit and you will feel young, regardless. I promised myself after that weekend I wasn;t going to take life too seriously and I am going to have fun and try and stay young for as long as I can. I know I am still young, but when you worry and you stress and you know it's time to decide what to do with your life, you feel old and it's damn scary!

As far as I'm concerned, you'll be okay as long as you take care of yourself. You're young now, plan for the future. There's an old song by Rolling stones that says (basically) what a drag it is getting old. I'm 52, having a hell of a good time. Of course, we'd all like to be in our 20's again, but hey, that's what life is all about: Gettin' bold and growin' old! Take care young man.

Are u Michael Jackson in disguise? Or are u related to him in some way? I' 68 and I can still relate to younger people. It's all in your attitude. It's remembering that u were young once and not looking at younger generations as wrong or ridiculous because their generation thinks differently than yours. Learn to like their music, their games, their lives. Learn to understand them and u won't be left out. Remember you are only as old as u feel.

You are very intelligent person, because it is unnatural for us as eternal spiritual beings to become old and die. We are actually not these bodies, we are eternal spirit souls, and our constitutional position is an eternal life full of knowledge and full of bliss. We are never meant to become old or die. However, because we misidentify ourselves with this temporary body, we are forced to be in this embarassing situation to become old and die.
The good news are that there is a process by which we can realize our eternal identity as spirit souls and enjoy an eternal life, full of knowledge and full of bliss. Would you like to?

When I was 20, I thought I would never get old.
Now I'm 39 and still don't feel old, I suppose it's all in how you look at things.

:-(

Already there and wouldn't mind 25 again, 20 was too young and I didn't know jack. 25 - 30 was IMHO the best time of my younger days. Just stop worrying and enjoy what you have, cause I can tell you, one day you are gonna wake up and say WTF, where did they go?
