Depends what sort of board you mean - you get longboards, short board, in between boards ...

on AVERAGE boards are the height of the surfer, around 180cm. The width of the same board will be proportionate to the height so roughly similar to the surfer's waist. This is what they consider while making custom surfboards (apart form the colour and graphics that is!)

there is no 'average' length really......

There are shortboards, longboards, Gunns etc etc....

Depending on the waves your riding.....
