I do voluntary work for a local timber recycling local community project and I really enjoy it. I don't get paid but love it. I would FAR rather work here than a job which pays £1,000 a week if I hated it. After all, it's only money and I would FAR rather have job satisfaction and enjoyment. Less stress, less hassles etc.
Could do with the money I have to say. Trying to scrimp a living off what JSA pays is farcical but that's another question for another time. :)

I'm in a well paid job that I hate at the moment but everything I would love to do as a job would mean I would have to drop my salary by a significant amount.
So I'm staying here to get the experience and then eventually will see where it takes me.
Although, people say that you should always enjoy your job because you spend about a 3rd of your life there!! ARGH!

For me, the days are gone where I worked for anyone. I enjoyed my job for the most part, despite the industry becoming riddled with paper-weights and self-important nonces. It paid well too, but alas, the end came too soon when I was medically discharged ..... I've never looked back though.
I'd rather work for myself, I'm earning a fortune compared to what my 'career' offered (even in a senior role). It's not dangerous, it's pretty easy, and it is not a 'job'.
Good Luck!

There is absolutely nothing worse than having debt you piled up with a good paying job you hate and being forced to continue to do it to make the bills. If you can get by with less pay and like what you do, that's a thousand times better than money in the bank-and out again.

I'd rather work somewhere I hate for a while just to get a bit of money behind me, then move to something more enjoyable once set up. Not everything in life can be pleasant. Unfortunately!

Work where you hate - if I have to give up my freedom and turn in every day - I want to be well paid for it.
At least I get more and away sooner

My experience is that the work place is no place to have real friends it does not work. I would have to say work for the money and turn it into a good experience.

I would 100% absolutely take a pay cut to dump my current job and get one I enjoy, or even feel confident about.

depends on how much debt you have.
I currently work at a job I hate, will stay until I get another because of debts and just because it is hard to go from a cadillac lifestyle to a pickup lifestyle.
