Bloody brilliant. That scene trying think of a black english comedien thats funny, with picture of Lenny Henry on the wall was hillarious.
Best comedy on telly - I even missed Scrubs on E4 to watch it...

It was quite serious wasn't it, but it works because the script/imrovisation is very sincere and just plain funny.
I don't think Orlando Bloom did that good a job, but the scenes with Maggie and the actress were high-larious!!!
Barry from Eastenders was fantastic too. I will definitely be waching the rest of the series with interest.

It was brilliant!! I think Gervais is just a genius and his comic timing is amazing. He doesnt even have to say a full word for me to find it funny. Just that little 'em' or something is great coz its placed so well (if ya get what i mean). I dont know the name of the actress who plays along side him but she definatly matches his comedy status in the programme and im glad to see that the new series still makes me laugh!!

Very good - laugh out loud funny (Lenny Henry....Cheggers repeated entries & private madness.....Barrys sweets), and also very poignant, but spoilt a little by unnecessary crudeness (Cheggers conversation with Gervais) - Gervais' writing is clever enough not to need to resort to vulgarity to raise a cheap laugh.

i felt they might just be running out of ideas.
Orlando bloom's personality seemed strangely familiar (almost david brent at moments); and Cheggers reminiscent of Les Dennis
if this is the first episode, where will we be by episode 5?
some individual funny moments though!
