History is written by those who win wars, those who maintain or usurp power. Native Americans do not write history becuause they have been tortured, killed, bred out or ignored.
Losers do not get to document world events.
The result of the powerful writing history is that the losers are marginalised, their voices not heard. When your voice is not heard you can either protest or accept being silenced.
Native Americans usually do not have the resources to effectively protest or make change. Most remain silent.
