I'll tell you what I am doing. Florida has a festival called Fantasy Fest. It's our Mardi Gras. I always make an original costume. This year I hope to be groceries. I've been saving empty containers. It's harmless fun, but I do get attention. I've had more provacative costumes in the past.

I once walked around a city centre with a laundry basket on my head, doing robot dancing and singing They Might Be Giants songs, partially for charity, partially just for something to do. Raised a lot of attention, and quite a bit of money too.

Alka-seltzer foaming from the mouth, split a walnut in half and drill holes in the center, place over eyes like two monicals (draw on them with markers for added effect)

Get a mental hair cut, and wear some daft clothes, and talk loudly and laugh at everything anybody says. Probably be more annoying than anything ha ha

Be engrossed in myself,not expecting a smile when i look at familiar faces,a little makeover would also do the trick.

shout loudly at people and then dance in the street LOL if that doesnt work I might try being withdrawn but that would only work for those that know me and would think there was something seriously wrong....
