Police are to start giving lollipops to drunks as they leave the pubs after a night out.
Supposedly it will stop them getting into drunken brawls as they will be too busy sucking the lollies.
Who thinks up these stupid ideas? Do they really think lollipops will work when all else has failed?

Just imagine sucking on one of these lollipops, falling over drunk and choking on one.

As long as the lollipops are filled with some form of fast-acting poison I'm all for handing them out...
On a serious note however, it probably will help for a few weeks before it becomes the norm and they then refuse to take them, or take them and litter then accross the streets...

It worked in pilot test on students who were making a racket walking home at night and waing up residents. Sucking on lollies means you can't shout!
